Nutrition at Malahide Medical
Aileen Cox Blundell MSc, ANutr, is a Registered Associate Nutritionist and a number one bestselling author. She holds an MSc in Nutrition in Practice from Leeds Beckett University, where she was awarded the Dean's Prize for Excellence in Nutrition and is registered on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN).
At Malahide Medical, Aileen provides evidence-based nutrition support for adults and families who want to eat in ways that support health, energy and everyday life. She offers calm and practical support with general nutrition and everyday habits,
weight management, gut health, perimenopause and menopause nutrition, plant- based or dairy-free diets, and mum and baby nutrition from pregnancy and postpartum through to weaning and fussy eating.

Aileen works closely with the GPs at Malahide Medical as part of a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare, which means that all nutrition plans are reviewed and agreed with your GP before you start. Together, they support people who are living with, or at risk of, pre-diabetes, raised cholesterol, PCOS, IBS, weight gain or low energy to understand how food fits into their overall care.
Aileen will help you find an eating pattern that feels realistic rather than restrictive. For example, this might mean learning how to build a balanced plate, planning simple meals and snacks, or putting small daily habits in place so you feel supported between appointments.
Outside the clinic, Aileen is the founder of Baby Led Feeding, an online platform and community that has supported thousands of parents with recipes and guidance for feeding both themselves and their little ones. Her work centres on making nutrition science accessible and reducing fear and confusion around food.
Scope of practice: As a Registered Associate Nutritionist, Aileen's work focuses on food and nutrition education and behaviour change. She does not diagnose or treat medical conditions; this remains the role of your GP. Where needs fall outside a nutritionist's scope of practice, Aileen will always liaise with your GP and refer you to the appropriate healthcare professional.
